(TSXV: TTM)(the “Company”) announced today that Guildford Town Centre, a super regional shopping centre in Surrey, British Columbia, retained 3 Tier Logic, the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, to use its Platform³ technologies to drive consumer foot traffic, to gather in-depth data about shoppers, and to increase social media engagement.

“Shopping centre managers know that certain shoppers, especially ‘fashionistas’, are hugely influential and frequently share information with their friends on their social networks about their shopping centre experiences,” explains 3 Tier Logic CEO Rob Craig. “The challenges shopping centre owners face are trying to identify their most valuable shoppers, to form a one-to-one relationship with them, and to motivate them to share the right content at the right time. Platform³ is making that possible for Guildford Town Centre.”

On December 1, 3 Tier Logic activated its new Receipt Scanning technology for the first time, in combination with Platform³, for Guildford Town Centre during its 2014 holiday promotion. In the promotion, consumers earn rewards points for simply taking a photo of their retail store receipt and uploading it to the Guildford Town Centre Platform³ application. In addition to earning points, participating consumers are automatically entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win gift cards worth a total of $2,500. The combined technologies enable Guildford Town Centre to identify the store in which the purchase was made, the total amount spent, the social profile of each individual consumer submitting receipts, and their content sharing behaviors. Consumers may also enter the sweepstakes by mailing in an entry, with no purchase necessary.

Guildford Town Centre has worked with 3 Tier Logic’s consumer-to-consumer content marketing technology Platform³ since it was in beta. Guildford Town Centre has also become the first shopping centre to use the new Receipt Scanning technology of Platform³, which enables shopping centres to obtain nearly same-day purchasing data. This is a valuable retail-marketing tool because getting data on in-mall purchases from shoppers is a considerable challenge for the shopping centre industry due to varying POS technologies and systems.

Platform³ motivates and incentivizes consumers to share relevant content about a shopping centre such as its promotions, retailers, restaurants, and other associated lifestyle information, with their friends on their own personal social media channels. As they share content with their friends the data mining technology of Platform³ gathers demographic and behavioral information about each participating consumer. The platform’s data segmentation process enables shopping centre owners to identify, communicate with, and reward their most influential customers, as well as other consumers who are likely to advocate for the shopping centre with their friends.

Prior to the activation of the Receipt Scanning promotion, 3 Tier Logic worked with Guildford Town Centre to develop and activate two other GTC Rewards promotions during 2014. The first promotion was a check-in-to-win application integrated into the shopping centre’s on-site kiosks. The second was a User Generated Content promotion during ‘Movember’ for social sharing on Facebook and Twitter. Both applications integrated the Platform³ consumer-to-consumer content sharing and data mining functionality.

From January 1, 2014 to November 30, 2014, Platform³ increased the total number of new users in the GTC Rewards program by more than 350%. Those individuals used Platform³ to share shopping center and shopper-lifestyle relevant content on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, 8,273 times, potentially reaching 2,194,398 unique individuals.
